Effect of continuous casting process on water ripple defect of martensitic stainless steel cutlery |

Abstract The water ripple defect appeared in the production of 3Cr13 martensitic stainless steel continuous casting billet was analyzed, and the segregation in defect was serious. At the same time, the corresponding analysis of the macrostructure of continuous cast slab was carried out, which showed that the white strip of continuous cast slab lead to the "water ripple" defect of the cutlery. By optimizing the tundish temperature and electromagnetic stirring process parameters, the degree of "white band" defect of continuous casting billet is reduced, and the water ripple defect of cutlery is eliminated.
