The Technological Characteristic and Application of Billet Caster in Changshu Longteng Special Steel Co.,Ltd. |

Abstract This paper mainly introduces the important technical parameters of a 6-strand high-quality billet caster rebuilt by CERI for Longteng Special Steel Co., Ltd. and the advanced technologies such as hydraulic oscillation of mould, secondary cooling model, electromagnetic stirring and continuous straightening adopted. The design features of key technologies to ensure the quality of billet are systematically described. The production parameters of some typical steel grades and the actual metallurgical results obtained are listed. The production practice shows that the continuous caster runs steadily and reliably, the quality of billet is excellent, and each index meets the design requirements.
