Discussion on mathematical simulation of grooveless rolling process based on induction heating

Abstract��The induction heating process of billet and the hot continuous rolling process of 1-3 passes grooveless rolling in the rough rolling of high-speed wire rod were simulated using finite element analysis software. The change of temperature in induction heating process was calculated and analyzed. The variation of rolling force�� equivalent strain and temperature in rolling process were discussed. The calculation results showed that when the surface temperature of casting billet was in range of 950-1 100 �棬 the cross section deformation in roughing process was relative uniform for lower surface temperature. The deformation was more easily permeated the center position of casting billet.
