AbstractThe static continuous cooling transformation (CCT) law of cryogenic rebar?for LNG was studied by dilatometer and Gleeble thermal simulation tester. The static CCT curves were obtained. The influence of cooling rate on microstructure evolution was investigated by optical microscope (OM) and micro-hardness tester. The results showed that the acicular ferrite and bainite were obtained when the cooling rate was not less than 20 /s. As the cooling rate increased the content of acicular ferrite decreased while the content of bainite increased. The morphology of bainite changed from granular to plate strip. Combined with the requirements of microstructure and performance the cooling rate after rolling should be controlled at in range of 20-30 /s. The results provided important theoretical and technical reference to create the cooling process for cryogenic rebar?for LNG.
