Abstract��The development history of testing techniques of steel for automobile at high strain rate�� hydraulic servo high-speed tensile test system�� test method and data post-processing�� as well as the problems in testing and application process which should be solved were introdaced. The dynamic mechanical behaviors of steel for automobile in high strain rate were studied and simulated. This study had important guidance reference for the structure design optimization�� reasonable material selection and the safety improvement in automotive lightweight development.
