AbstractSlow strain rate test was adopted to investigate the stress corrosion behavior of 00Cr21Ni14Mn5Mo2N stainless steel in sea water. Effects of temperature and strain rate on the stress corrosion behavior of this steel were analyzed. Results showed that the 00Cr21Ni14Mn5Mo2N stainless steel was resistant to stress corrosion in 3.5% NaCl solution in the temperature range of 35-65 棬 and the temperature in this range didnt affect the stress corrosion behavior. But the strain rate had an influence on the stress corrosion. The sensitive factor of stress corrosion was higher when the strain rate was 1.0106/s.
