Abstract:Inorder to study the effect of thecold rolling process on the polishing surface of 304 stainless steel,two different coldrolling processes were carried out,which were the ordinary rolling process and special rolling process for polishing materials. And the variations of surface morphology and surface defects after grinding and polishing were analyzed. It was concluded that by increasing the rolling passes of the cold rolling process and reducing the reduction of each pass,the surface metal could completely cover the pit of hot rolled raw material during the rolling process,andre-duce the generation of pits on the surface of the cold plate. Finally,the polishing surface quality of 304 stainless steel was significantly improved and the surface roughness was reduced.
