Abstract:The properties of composite layer of DSS2205 rolled and exploded clad plates were studied by means of chemical immersion in laboratory, electrochemical corrosion test and Vickers hardness measurement. The microstructure was analyzed by metallographic microscope and transmission electron microscope, which was compared with DSS2205 stainless steel before cladding. The results showed that the corrosion properties of composite layer of rolled and exploded clad plate were slightly decreased and the hardness was increased compared with DSS2205 stainless steel before cladding. But the corrosion properties of composite layer of the rolled clad plates were better than those of explosion clad plates. The microstructure of the composite layer of rolled clad plates was composed of rodlike austenite, which was not distributed in a straight line on the ferrite, and the austenite had recrystallization. Meanwhile, the microstructure of composite layer of the explosion clad plates was still composed of band structure with interval distribution of austenite and ferrite before cladding. The both ferrite and austenite were deformed.
