Abstract

This paper analyzes the reasons of faults such as surface cracks,corner cracks,inner medium cracks,segregation etc. of the production of Xinyu Steel No.4 slab caster. Measures were put forward like secondary cooling system revamping,CISDI 3D dynamic secondary cooling controlling,and CISDI dynamic soft reduction. The practice shows that slab surface and inner quality have been upgraded.
