Numerical simulation of effect of air knife process on thickness of zinc layer

  • Considering the feature of air knife in Shougang Jingtang cold rolling lines, the CFD software Fluent was used to simulate the process of blowing zinc with the air knife. The effects of the pressure, range, lip and angle on thickness of zinc layer were analyzed, and the effect of the parameters on the pressure of the strip surface was regressed by mathematical model which could guide the quantitative analysis and provide theoretical basis for accurate control of thickness of zinc layer.
