Abstract:Based on two dimensional heattransfer mathematical model, a computer control system for compact roller hearth heat treatment furnace,which includes plate movement tracking,plate temperature tracking, optimum heating control of plate, continuous and swing movement control of plate, optimum furnace temperature control for mixing loading of plates, feedback control of plate temperature and so on,was developed,and online control and management of roller hearth furnace is realized at a rolling plant of one steel company using PCS7 control system provided by SIMENS Co., with satisfactory results.
