Abstract:Simulation research on the EAF dust online recycling and zinc oxide separation with coke bed filter was carried out by heating coke/dust samples in CO/CO2 gas mixture. Thermodynamic analysis shows that the solidsolid and gassolid reduction reactions would occur simultaneously and the separation of zinc oxide can be realized under set experimental conditions. The experiment results showed that comparing with the reduction only by solid carbon or CO, the initial rate of weight loss change and final reduction rate of the reduction by the CO/CO2 mixture are higher. It was found that the formation and aggregation of Fe on the surface of dust particles hinders the diffusion of reducing gas affecting the reduction of remained ZnO inside it.Speeding up the reduction of ZnO with control of the reduction of FeO is the key subject for increasing the ZnO recycling rate.
