Abstract:To improve the low efficiency in Silicon Steel wastewater treatment, FeSO4/H2O2 was used to treat this water. The method utilized the reducibility of Fe(Ⅱ) to reduce Cr(Ⅵ) to Cr(Ⅲ), and reduce the CODCr value with the catalysis-oxidation properties of Fenton reagent which generated by the reaction between Fe(Ⅱ) and H2O2 in the acid solution. The best parameter was: n(Fe2+):n(H2O2)=1∶2, Fe2+ dosage 0.1mol/g Cr6+, pH value 3-4, temperature 15-35℃. When CODCr of influent was 1351mg/L, Cr(Ⅵ) concentration was 2959mg/L, the effluent concentration of CODCr and Cr(Ⅵ) was 25.6mg/L and 0.421mg/L respectively, both of them could be controlled below the Chinese discharge standard of GB 13456-92, the removal rate of Cr(Ⅵ) and CODCr was 99.99% and 98.11%.
