Abstract:The effect of spraying boron quaternary ammonium salt (which was as a new type deterioration inhibitor) on coke thermal property was investigated. The structure and morphology of coke were scanned for explaining boron quaternary ammonium salt’s inhibition mechanism to coke by SEM. The results indicate that the coke reactivity index (CRI) is decreased by 8.69% and the coke strength after reaction (CSR) is improved by 7.94% when spraying 1.0% boron quaternary ammonium salt on coke samples. The SEM scanning results show that the coke surface pore diameter and the depth decrease, this helps to reduce CO2 to erode coke.
