Abstract:The technological innovation and practice of liquid core reduction (LCR) of CSP caster was introduced, the effect of the amount of liquid core reduction on the slab shape, the slab internal quality and the rolling process was analyzed. Results show that the maximum amount of liquid core reduction from the original design of the 20mm increased to 35mm is feasible in Masteel existing equipment conditions, the reduction rate can reach 38.8%. The technology is successfully developed, not only increase production flexibility, but also get good metallurgical effects.
