Abstract:In order to reduce the reduction and smelting-separation temperatures of vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite, and improve the recovery rate of Ti and V, the carbothermic reduction in combination with sodium-treatment was studied, and the effects of sodium agent on reduction as well as the distribution of Ti and V after smelting-separation were discussed. The sodium agent significantly improves the reducibility, the magnetic separation as well as the smelting-separation performance of vanadium-bearing titanomagnetite, the metallization ratio reached 90% at 1 100 ℃ for 60 min when the sodium ratio was 1.2, and the fine iron concentrate with a iron grade of 80% as well as iron yield of 92% was obtained after magnetic separation. The iron yield was higher than 95%, and the distribution ratio of V reached 91% when the sample was smelting-separated at 1 450 ℃. Moreover,[w(TiO2)]in slag reached 56% when the smelting-separation slag was washed in water.
