Strengthening Mechanism of Ti MicroAlloyed High Strength Steel Produced by TSCR

Abstract:In order to clarify strengthening mechanism of Ti microalloyed container strip produced by TSCR (thin slab casting and rolling),SEM, TEM and chemical phase analysis were used.The quadrate TiN particles about several tens nanometers are precipitated before continuous rolling. Nanometer dispersive TiC particles are formed at lower temperature,decreasing the mass fraction of pearlite and cementite. Precipitationhardening by nanometer precipitates is responsible for strength increasing of high strength steels.
