Abstract:In order to eliminate the red scale on surface of hot rolled strip, the descaling and rolling experiments in lab and industrial trials were carried out. The evolution of red scale on hot rolled piece during descaling and hot rolling was analyzed by SEM and EDX. The formation mechanism of red scale was described and the optimized hot rolling parameters were proposed. After adopting the process rounte of descaling and rolling at high temperature and coiling at low temperature, red scale on surface of product was effectively removed and product quality at Ansteel was greatly improved.
