Abstract:The removal of non-metallic inclusion during remelting occurred mainly in stages of formation of dropets on the consumable electrode tip and dropets falling through the slag. The dynamics viewpoint of the lager Specific Contact Area can be used to discuss it. There will produce new inclusion with the removal of original inclusion. Therefore, to effectively control inclusions in ESR ingots, compound deoxidizer should be used as the final deoxidizer, using reasonable remelting speed, composition of slag, power supply system and the oxygen potential in electroslag furnace should be strictly controlled.
