Abstract:The deep bed sintering is an important direction of sintering technology. As the depth of sinter bed increasing, there will be a series of changes in sintering behaviors, such as the self accumulation heat of the sinter bed is strengthened, widen the high-temperature region, the gas volume expansion increasing, permeability distinctly deteriorates,the mass content of O2 decrease, the combustion speed of coke breeze slower, the high-temperature region widen again, at the same time, the residual carbon and unprofitable combustion increase, the lower sinter of sinter bed ultra-fusion, which case the sinter yield index and quality index declines. To solve problems of deep bed sintering, new methods are proposed to improve the combustion of coke breeze. Available technical measures include that control coke breeze size distribution in 1.0 mm-3.15 mm, adopting “separate addition of fuel” or “separate addition of solid fuel and flux” as the method of improving solid fuel combustion, and study the permeability and the sinter technical index of each scheme, the conclusion is that improving the combustibility of solid fuels can be pepitious to deep bed sintering.
