Abstract:The mechanism and conditions of webwave formation during Hbeam hot rolling were studied.The critical stress and strain for web buckling were figured out by analytic method. Then, the elasticplastic finite element model was established to analyze the rolling process with software of MSC.Marc, and the formation of Hbeam webwave was simulated successfully. Based on the simulation, the deformation and stress of rolling piece during hot rolling were studied, and the eigenvalues,such as halfwave length and the critical ratio of relative reductions between the web and flange for web buckling,were obtained.
