Abstract:The metallurgical performance of single lump ore is an important technical index for selection of suitable lump ores, while the interaction between lump ore and sinter is always ignored. Through studying the softening properties of lump ore, sinter and their mix in the laboratory, it is concluded that there are interactions between natural lump ore and sinter in BF high temperature area. The measure and evoluation methods of interaction are given.The melting and dripping experiments were performed to investigate the influence of the interaction.
