Research of Power and Energy Consumption in Main Manufacturing Steps at Daye Special Steel

Abstract:Daye Special Steel Co., Ltd. is a representative company among EAF steel companies in China.The data of energy and material consumption of sintering, ironmaking, steelmaking and steelrolling at Daye Steel were analysed.The results show that at No.4 steelmaking shop,the output was increased from 254 thousand tons in 2000 to 873 thousand in 2005,with the specific electricity consumption in EAF steelmaking decreased from 547 kW·h/t to 213 kW·h/t.But the total specific energy consumption was increased from 448 kg(ce)/t to 684 kg(ce)/t.
