Abstract:Effects of carbon composite iron ore hot briquette (CCB) with different charging proportions on the softening-dripping behavior of blast furnace burdens were investigated systemically and theoretically, based on the common iron-making materials. The results show that charging CCB affects greatly on the softening-dripping parameters of blast furnace burdens, such as softening range, melting range (or cohesive zone), dripping ratio, gas permeability etc. With the increasing CCB charging ratio, the softening range t40-t4 tends to narrowing. The melting range tD-tS also tends to narrowing, and the melting start temperature tS gradually increase, the dripping temperature tD gradually decline. The dripping ratio tends to increasing then decreasing, which comes up to its highest value (6710%) at the charging proportion 40%. The max pressure difference tends to increasing then decreasing, but it is reduced with CCB charged. Taking account of the softening-dripping behavior of comprehensive burdens comprehensively, the appropriate proportion of CCB charging into blast furnace burdens should be set around 40%-50%.
