Abstract:According to mastering the production process characteristic of non-oriented silicon steel for CSP hot strip mills, the edge drop formation mechanism of non-oriented silicon steel rolled by CSP hot strip mills was investigated, and the necessity of edge drop control was presented. Finally, based on lots of tracking tests and experimental data, a set of edge drop control technology program of non-oriented silicon steel for CSP hot strip mills was put forward and applied into the industrial field. It was obtained the good results that the edge control requirements of the next cold rolling process can be met.
