Abstract:Shape and gauge control had close relation in tandem cold rolling process, which leaded to the reduction of performance or even the instability of the control system. The profile-gauge coupling model and flatness-gauge coupling model was established based on systematic and theoretical analysis of the elements affecting shape and guage, then the complex decoupling design was completed based on systematic analysis of the two groups. After the simulation by Matlab/Simulink based on the parameter of one 6-high five stand continuous tandem cold mill, the flatness-gauge complex decoupling design approved good ability of improving the accuracy of shape and gauge.
