Abstract：Aiming at the difficult problems that fault diagnosis caused by system parameters change is hard and the practical fault simulation has high cost and danger on strip rolling mill gauge control system, by fully considering the distribution of the mass, stiffness and damping of each part on the strip mill, a three freedom degrees of dynamic simulation model was established by using modular modeling method for gauge control system of strip rolling mill. The model can more fully reflect the system response as the change of system parameters, so it is a fault simulation model with practical value. The typical faults simulation was researched by the dynamic response of the model, the obtained fault feathers can provide a basis for system fault prediction and diagnosis. The measured experimental data verify the correctness and reliability of the model.
