Simulation of Charge Level for Bell-Less Top Blast Furnace

Abstract:Using the bell-less rings charging mathematical model, the charge level was simulated to explore the flat boss type of burden profile with relative open center. The results show that it is difficult to form a flat boss type burden profile under the small angle difference, and it is possible to obtain the flat boss type of burden profile under the large angle difference and large charging angle. The flat boss type of charge level can be obtained in the following situations: increasing the amount of ore in edge, increasing the amount of coke in center, reducing the ore angle of chute, increasing the coke angle of chute, improving the stockline or ore batch weight. Additionally, no law phenomenon is also possible through adjusting the charging parameters.
