Abstract:The effects of deformation temperature on the microstructure evolution of GCr15SiMn bearing steel were investigated by uniaxial hot compression simulation experiment. Continuity coefficient was used for the quantitative characterization of the continuity degree of carbide network. A comprehensive analysis of the deformation temperature on the grain size and the continuity of carbide network were implemented. The results indicated that the variation of the continuity of carbide network with different deformation temperatures maintains good consistency with that of the grain size. The fragmentation of carbide network increases with the decreasing of deformation temperatures. Considering the continuity of carbide network, grain size and deformation resistance and other factors, the finishing temperature of GCr15SiMn should be set at 800-850 ℃ and 850 ℃ is preferable when controlled cooling is unavailable.
