Abstract:A new process for collocation use between copper slag and steelmaking slag was proposed based on theoretical analysis, and the reduction as well as smelting-separation situation of carbon composite pellets was investigated by experiments to discuss the feasibility of this process. The copper slag and steelmaking slag promoted mutual reduction process as fluxing agents, and an alkalinity of 2.0 was most beneficial for the reduction of phosphorus, which removal rate was nearby 75% at 1 400 ℃ for 30 minutes. Moreover, the optimal alkalinity for iron oxides reduction was 1.0, the metallization ratio of which reached 92% at 1 200 ℃ for 20 minutes. The separation of iron from molten slag succeeded as the mass ratio of copper slag to steelmaking slag was higher than 1.32, and an iron yield exceeded 90% at the alkalinity of 1.0. Besides, the distribution rate of phosphorus within iron was closed to 45%.
