Energy saving achievements of 12th Five-Year Program and prospect of 13th Five-Year Program for Chinese steel industry

Abstract：The achievements of energy saving for Chinese steel industry during the period of “12th Five-Year Program” were summarized and the main problems of energy saving including energy management、 technological innovation、energy structure and other aspects in Chinese steel industry were analyzed. Based on the analysis for Chinese steel industry in the coming "13th Five-Year Program"， the energy saving potential for Chinese steel industry was analyzed specially， the target of energy saving was put forward and the key tasks were summarized. Finally， the related policy suggestions including the promotion of green manufacturing， improve fiscal and financial support， increase energy technology research and innovation and promotion， strengthening energy management about energy-saving work during the "13th Five-Year Program" were put forward.
