Abstract:The internal temperature distribution of coil of chromium steel can not be accurately predicted,resulting in cooling and corrosion during storage in the factory area. Aiming at this problem,based on a large number of theoretical research and field tests,a new temperature distribution model of steel coil cooling process is established based on the three dimensional temperature model of steel coil and the differential equation of heat conduction. And the calculation accuracy of the model under various environmental conditions is also analyzed. Then a software is compiled which is named “the internal temperature prediction software of the steel coil in the cooling process of the finished steel coil of the chromium plating unit”,and its application solved the problem of cooling and corrosion of chromium steel coil in the field. It provides a certain theoretical basis and data support for the establishment of the storage measures for the steel coil in the factory area,and is valuable for further popularization and application.
