Influence of temper rolling reduction rate on microstructure and mechanical properties of TS290 steel

Abstract：In order to study the effect of temper rolling reduction rate on the microstructure and mechanical properties of TS290 steel,thus provide rational reference on the process parameters of the new breed steel,the microstructure of the steel was detected by OM,the morphology and distribution of the dislocation in the steel was observed by TEM,the mechanical properties of the steel was measured by cupping machine. The result showed that with the temper rolling reduction rate increased from 0 to 3.0%,the yield strength of the steel was firstly decreased and then increased,the tensile strength of the steel was firstly added slightly and then stabilized. The increase of the temper rolling reduction rate had a limited effect on the refinement of the microstructure,but could significantly improve the density of the dislocation in the steel matrix,thus remarkably enhance the yield strength of the steel.With the temper rolling reduction rate be controlled to 2.0%,the yield strength of the steel could reach 290 MPa,the tensile strength of the steel could reach 400 MPa and the HRC of the steel could reach 59.0,the comprehensive mechanical performance of the experimental steel could meet the design requirement of TS290 steel.
