Abstract Experimental results show that the recrystallization temperature decreases as the annealing time increases. As the heating rate has an effect on the mechanical properties of Nb+Ti IF steel, 50 ℃/h is considered proper.In the production, the annealing temperature should be kept as high as the annealing furnace allows in order to keep uniform temperature distribution even at the cold point of the coil. The annealing time should be long enough for complete recrystallization. Mechnical properties of the products produced in this way are excellent and stable.
