Abstract Abstract: In order to study the effect of rare earth Y on microstructure and corrosion property of 0Cr13 stainless steel, the rare earth Y was put into the 0Cr13 stainless steel, the effect of rare earth Y on microstructure and corrosion property of 0Cr13 stainless steel was researched by means of observing metallographic microstructure, analyzing components of inclusion, soaking periodically, measuring natural corrosion electrical potential, measuring natural corrosion alternating current impedance. The results shows that the microstructure of 0Cr13 stainless steel is refined and homogenized, rare earth compound forms, and the inclusion hazards of S、O is reduced by the addition of rare earth Y. Rare earth Y can increase effectively the corrosion resistance of 0Cr13 stainless steel.
