Abstract:Abstract:The quality of green pellet is directly related to the production of highquality fluxing pellets. In order to find out the effect of SiO2, basicity and MgO content on the performance of green pellets, the experiments of pelletizing and cold performance of green pellets were carried out with three kinds of magnetite as raw materials, by adding quicklime to adjust basicity, adding dolomite to adjust MgO content and proportioning three kinds of iron ore powder to adjust SiO2 content. It is found that regardless of changing SiO2 content, alkalinity or MgO content, the suitable moisture for green pellet is basically maintained between 8 mass% and 9 mass%. The pelleting degree of green pellet is above 90%, and pelleting deg is good. The compressive strength, dropping strength and bursting temperature of green pellets are mainly affected by the particle size, physical properties and suitable moisture content of iron ore powder and flux.
