Abstract Under conditions of the existing pair of electromagnetic stirring device on No.0 segment in No.2 steelmaking plant, the installation location and stirring parameters of roll type electromagnetic stirring device on the secondary cooling zone have been repeatedly tested and studied in order to produce high quality silicon steel stably. And the appropriate installation position of the added pair of electromagnetic stirring rolls has been determined. In the end, better metallurgical results have been achieved for the both pairs of rolls type electromagnetic stirring device.
