Abstract Abstract：The cause for the M-type sliver were identified by inspecting the appearance of cracks. By analyzing characteristics of the steel grade and tracking the production on site, the causes for the cracks of the slab were found out. And also corresponding measures were taken to eliminate the M-type sliver of Q345 steel.
