| Analysis and Countermeasures of Secondary Cooling Nozzle Clogging |

Abstract With the consideration of secondary cooling water treatment process and the features of secondary cooling facilities, the composition, morphology of spray nozzle clogging, secondary cooling water quality, the structure of spray nozzle and main steps during continuous casting are analyzed to find out the reasons of the secondary cooling spray nozzle clogging. The secondary cooling water quality and the maintenance quality of major equipment are the two key factors causing the clogging of spray nozzle. Owing to some corresponding measures, the number of clogged spray nozzles has decreased markedly.
