Abstract The production practice of near-net-shape profiled blank caster in Laigang was introduced, such as technological process, ladle pouring, tundish pouring, no oxidation protective casting, mold design, design of protective slag, the second cooling and so on. Through the optimization of production process and technical improvement, the profiled blank caster casting technology continues to be mature, the production is stable and the slab quality has been further improved.
