Abstract: In order to improve the machining efficiency of tensile samples of heavy Hbeam steel, the tensile samples were processed in a company using two different techniques before and after improvement. The comparative method was used to analyze the technique and its processing quality. The results showed that when the tensile samples with same specification, same brand and same position were prepared by two different techniques, the technique after improvement had better surface roughness and higher processing efficiency. Moreover, it significantly reduced the number of tensile test failures due to the processing quality.
