Discussion about practice and process of ferrite rolling in Ti-IF steel
In order to master the process characteristics and application points of ferrite rolling technology, the microstructure, mechanical properties, oxide scales, precipitates and textures of hot rolled products in ferrite rolling of Ti-IF steel were investigated. Moreover, the key process technologies of ferrite rolling were discussed. The results revealed that the ferrite rolling process had the characteristics of coarser grain size, lower strength, better plasticity, thinner oxide scale, stronger γ texture and finer precipitates. However, the ferrite rolling process also easily caused some problems such as uneven microstructure and orientation, which put forward higher requirements for the cooling and lubrication rolling after coiling.

Discussion about CuO doping on microstructure and properties of Ni 0.4 Zn 0.6 Fe 2 O 4 ferrite

Ni 0.4-x Cu x Zn 0.6 Fe 2 O 4x=0, 0.12, 0.20, 0.28) ferrite was prepared by the traditional ball milling method. The  microstructure, phase composition and magnetic properties of Ni-Zn ferrite with CuO doping on were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), comprehensive thermal analysis (TG-DSC) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The results showed that with the increase of CuO content, the second phase of Ni-Cu-Zn ferrite was formed, and the diffraction peak intensity of Ni-Cu-Zn ferrite gradually increased. It could be seen from the microstructure and energy spectrum that Cu 2+ participated in the reaction of ferrite. The increase of CuO content improved the sintering performance of the sample, and reduced the crystallization temperature of Ni-Cu-Zn ferrite. The hysteresis loop showed soft magnetic properties of Ni 0.4- x Cu x Zn 0.6 Fe 2 O 4 x=0, 0.12, 0.20, 0.28). When the CuO content x was 0.2, the saturation magnetization (M s) of ferrite was highest. Meanwhile, the coercive force (H c) was relatively low.

Discussion about heat treatment process of X20Cr13 blade steel for gas turbine
Different heat treatment processes were adopted to investigate the mechanical properties at room temperature, FATT and intergranular fracture rate of X20Cr13 blade steel. The results showed that the strength of the material increased with the increase of quenching temperature when the temper temperature was same. However, the impact toughness, FATT50 and intergranular fracture rate decreased. Good comprehensive mechanical properties could be obtained under heat treatment conditions of quenching at 970 ℃ and tempering at 670 ℃, which were suitable for the actual production.

Influence of spectral line series of Cr on its distribution in steel materials
The plane distribution and line distribution of Cr in steel materials were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) under acceleration voltage of 10 kV. The results showed that the excitation of Cr was not enough under acceleration voltage of 10 kV, and only L-line of Cr could be excited, which was overlapped with L-line of Fe, leading to the errors in line distribution and plane distribution of Cr in steel materials. With the help of energy spectrum software, the L-line of Cr was manually changed to K-line, which successfully solved the spectral superposition between Cr and Fe. The line distribution and plane distribution of Cr in steel materials were correctly characterized.

Determination method of variable valence iron in magnetite using electron probe micro-analyzer
The magnetite sample was determined by all-elements test method through taking good use of advantages of Shimadzu EPMA (electron probe micro-analyzer) in instrument configuration. In other words, all elements in magnetite including ultra-light oxygen was directly determined. Then the contents of variable valence elements were calculated according to the principle of electric neutrality balance. The characteristics of Lβ/Lα of FeO and Fe2O3 contents were verified by state analysis. The testing results were relatively satisfactory.

Discussion about the affecting factors on sensitivity of ultrasonic C scan testing system
In view of the fluctuation potentially of ultrasonic C scan testing system, different scanning parameters were used to preform the test by reference blocks. The results showed that the sensitivity of ultrasonic C scan testing system was affected by the surface quality of the workpieces, the deviation of the mechanical motion axis, the incidence angle of the probe, the block travel distance, the distance amplitude curve of reference blocks, the setting of the gate and so on. When the sensitivity changes greatly, the parameters should be corrected in time, which can partly reduce the error, improve the sensitivity of testing system.

Application of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy technology on analysis of surface inclusions of cold rolled plate
Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy technology has some advantages such as smaller exciting spot size,  conveniently analyzing for tiny defect, no special treatment on sample, shorter time for analysis and so on, so that it was applied on analysis of surface inclusions of steel extensively. By comparison of the spectrum intensity of characteristic elements in abnormal and normal parts of the samples, further judgment of characteristics can be made based on the previous information. The results of LIBS analysis have been verified by the analysis of energy disperse X-ray spectrum of scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDS). So it is included that LIBS technology is suitable for the demands of analyzing and solving the defects rapiding on site.

Cause analysis of surface blackening of SPHC hot rolled strip after pickling
The oxide scale of SPHC hot rolled strip produced by Liuzhou Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was difficult to be removed by pickling. Moreover, the surface of the plate appeared blackening in varying degrees after pickling, which affected the surface quality of pickling strip. The causes of blackening phenomenon of strip after pickling were explored by several testing and analysis methods, including roughness tester, X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope and static pickling test. The results showed that the contents of residual Cu, Ni, Cr and As in SPHC strip produced by Liuzhou Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. were high. These residual elements would be enriched in the matrix metal under the oxide scale, which enhanced the adhesion force of oxide scale, resulting in the difficulty of pickling. The residual oxide scale caused the surface blackening of strip after pickling. By controlling the content of residual elements, the surface color and luster of strip after pickling was obviously improved.

Cause analysis of leakage for heating coil
The material of heating coil of one heating pipe set is BFe10-1-1 copper alloy. The leakage of equipment occurred after use for several years. The failure reasons for heating coil were analyzed by optical metallographic microscope (OM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM).The failure mode and reason were found. The failure mode for heating coil of heating pipe set was bolt-like corrosion of nickel-removal corrosion occurred at the weld seam. There were two reasons for failure. The dendrite segregation existed in the metallographic structure of weld seam of heating pipe coil, and the dendrites were preferentially corroded by nickel-removal corrosion and then oxidized. The inner surface of the weld seam of heating coil was uneven and the condensate water was easily to be retained. Once the corrosion hole was formed, the condensate water containing corrosive elements (S and Cl) was more easily stored and enriched, which aggravated the corrosion.

Failure analysis of copper pole clamp in power industry
Aiming at several recent cases of typical copper pole clamp failures in Anhui power grid, combining with the type of clamp to analyze the causes of failure and put forward the focus of metal supervision in the future. The result showed that the frequent cracking of the copper pole clamp was mainly related to its alloy composition and forming process. For brass clamp, it is mainly to strengthen the detection of alloy composition, and on-site conductivity and hardness testing could be supplied. For red copper brass clamp, it is mainly to strengthen the strength check and the appearance inspection of forming quality. At the same time, pay attention to the review of the tightening torque during the installation stage.
