Power generation with sintering residual heat is one important way to improve energy efficient and to achieve sustainable development for steel industry. According to the characteristics of sintering residual heat, such as low quality and volatile, the key technologies, including residual heat recovery vs. exhausted gas treatment, original parameters prediction of residual heat, residual heat recovery process vs. temperature regulation of exhaust gas, residual heat recovery vs. cooling system optimization, and equipment selection optimization for boiler and generator, were proposed and analyzed. It is cautious to conclude that the emphases should focus on the recovery of residual heat of exhausted gas from cooling machine and the technologies to ensure the operating stability and to improve the recovery efficiency, of which the foundation is the technology of original parameters prediction of residual heat, the effective mean is the process of circulating hot air, and the core is the optimization and match of parameters and dynamic characteristics of residual heat boiler and power generation system.
