Abstract
In order to improve the metallurgical properties of pellet, the experiments that MgO was put into the pellet were tested. And the influences of MgO adding method on technical of ability of ball were discussed. The results show as follows: With reasonable MgO additive method, when the MgO content increases from 0.6% to 1.8%, the low temperature reducible disintegration index (RDI+3.15) increases from 62.2% to 75%, the reducibility index (RI) increases from 34% to 45%-53% (1h, 900℃), the reducible swelling index (RSI) decreases from 23% to 20%(RI=40%), and the softening and melting temperature range of pellet can also be increased. To enhance MgO content, the magnesite and iron ore concentrate should be used, but not dolomite.
