Abstract:
Permanent magnetic materials have been widely used in the fields of national economy, national defense and military industry and other fields, whose traditional preparation process used to be sintering, casting and so on. The process is long and the production cost is high. 3D printing technology, as a revolutionary means of production, has greatly expanded the freedom of design and manufacturing of three-dimensional components. Because of its advantages in producing and preparing workpieces with complex shapes, 3D printing technology has been widely used in the production and preparation of structural materials. In recent years, it has been developing towards functional materials. Currently, the commonly used technologies for 3D printing of permanent magnet materials are mainly fused deposition modeling (FDM), binder jetting (BJ), selective laser melting (SLM) and selective laser sintering (SLS). In this paper, the research status of 3D printing of permanent magnet materials is reviewed, mainly including Al-Ni-Co permanent magnets, Mn-Al alloys, Sm-Co permanent magnets and Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets. Meanwhile, the prospect of 3D printing of permanent magnet materials was also made.
