Abstract:
In the paper, copper powders were prepared by water-air combined atomization. The influence of different water atomization pressures (20 MPa, 35 MPa, 68 MPa, 87 MPa, 99 MPa) on powder size, chemical composition, oxygen content, morphology and angle of repose was studied. The results show that the most satisfying copper powders who have high spherical degree, low oxygen content, concentrated particle size distribution and more than 80% powders obtained rate below 50 μm can be realized at 1300 ℃ for 30 min, a gas atomization pressure of 2 MPa and a water atomization pressure of 99 MPa.
