Abstract:
Measurement standards are an intermediate link in the dissemination of the value of quantity(traceability) system, playing a crucial role in ensuring the unity of the national measurement unit system and the consistency and accuracy of measurement values. The examination of measurement standards is the evaluation of the measurement ability of measurement standards by the national competent department and the confirmation of the qualification for using the standards to carry out the dissemination of the value of quantity. The stability of a measurement standard refers to its ability to maintain its metrological characteristics constant over time. This article systematically discusses the practical application of stability assessment in length measurement standards based on JJF 1033—2023《Rule for Examination of Measurement Standards》and length measurement verification and calibration work, from the perspective of applicable methods, judgment standards, and evaluation cycles. Based on examples of measurement standards, this article focuses on exploring the applicable scenarios of using verification standards, high-level measurement standards, and measurement standard instruments for assessment, and compares the advantages and disadvantages of various assessment methods, providing reference for selecting appropriate stability assessment methods in length measurement standard assessment work.
