Abstract:
Efficient photocatalysts are an important way to solve the environmental crisis caused by harmful organic dyes, and their degradation efficiency is closely related to their morphology. In this study, different template agents were used to prepare ZnO mesocrystals with cubic,cauliflower,rod-like and spherical morphologies. Using rhodamine B as the target dye,the photocatalytic activity of different morphological ZnO samples was investigated, and the physicochemical properties of the samples were evaluated by means of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy,Fourier infrared spectroscopy, and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry. The results showed that the three-dimensional spherical ZnO composed of sheet-like structures had a higher porosity and exhibited a higher catalytic efficiency. The degradation efficiency of rhodamine B reached over90%,enhancing the ability of the catalyst to degrade organic dyes.
