Abstract:In order to analyze and investigate the effect of heat treatment on delayed fracture resistance of 30MnSi PC steel bars FIP test was adopted. FIP test results show that the delayed fracture resistance of 30MnSi steel bar rises with quenching temperature under same tempering temperature.The steel bar quenched at 950 ℃ have good delayed fracture resistance.It was observed that the delayed fracture resistance of 30MnSi steel bars increases with tempering temperature at a sufficient strength. Microstructural observation showed that the structure of 30MnSi steel bar after tempering at about 430 ℃,which has good delayed fracture resistance is mainly composed of fine tempered sorbite (troostite) with carbide distributed along the lath martensite boundaries.It can be concluded that heat treatment is an effective way to improve delayed fracture of 30MnSi steel bar.
