Abstract:In Meishan 1422 mm hot rolling mill, the crown of some products for cold rolling exceeds lower limit, or exceeds upper limit, reducing crown hitting rate. Based on strip crown control on upstream stands CVC work roll contour of F1F3 was deeply analyzed, a new work roll contour—MHW work roll contour was designed. Using the FEM software ANSYS, the loading gap adjustment ability of CVC and MHW work roll contour was compared for different strip width. The practice showed that the strip crown has been redueed with optimized work roll contour.
